Kevin Wayne Durant (born September 29, 1988) is an American professional basketball player for the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He previously played for the Seattle SuperSonics / Oklahoma City Thunder and Golden State Warriors. Durant was a heavily recruited high school prospect who was widely regarded as the second-best player in his class. In college, he won numerous year-end awards and became the first freshman to be named Naismith College Player of the Year. As a professional, he has won four NBA championships, three with the Warriors and one with the Miami Heat.

Durant plays primarily at small forward but can also play power forward. Standing 6 ft 10 in (2.08 m) tall and weighing 240 lb (109 kg), he is considered by many to be one of the greatest players in NBA history.[1] Since his rookie season, Durant has been selected to ten All-NBA First Teams (six First Team and four Second Team). He has also been named nine times to the All-Defensive First or Second Teams,[2] winning two back-to-back NBA Defensive Player of the Year Awards before being moved to forward due to his increase in offensive production.[3] In 2017, he was named MVP of the Finals after leading Golden State to its second NBA title in three years,[4] completing a 3–1 comeback win against Cleveland.
